Bolasiar - Cristiano Ronaldo is set to return to international football after a four-month absence, as Portugal take on Liechtenstein in a World Cup qualifier on Thursday.
Ronaldo last played in Europe in November 2022, in a goalless draw against Aston Villa before his controversial departure from Manchester United to Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr.
Although broadcast restrictions have limited the global audience's access to Ronaldo's performances in Saudi Arabia, he has scored nine goals in 10 appearances for Al Nassr, including a hat-trick against Damac and four goals against Al Wehda.
The Portuguese captain's inclusion in Roberto Martinez's squad had been in doubt, but he has been called up and is expected to feature against Liechtenstein.
It remains to be seen whether Ronaldo will start the game, with Benfica's Goncalo Ramos and Joao Felix, on loan at Chelsea, also in contention for a spot in the attacking line-up.
The game will take place at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon, with Norwegian referee Espen Eskas and Spanish VAR Juan Martinez Munuera officiating the match. Portugal are currently second in their World Cup qualifying group, three points behind leaders France.
